The Budgerigar Assembly is part of my new still life series this year that I have introduced birds, especially Australian ones, into my usual traditional composition to offer a playful perspective to still life painting. My idea is to show that still life does not have to be boring and motionless, but can be injected with fun and lively elements, making it more exciting and enjoyable to look at.
