My work is energetic and intuitive, using colour, texture and bold marks to evoke the drama and movement of our diverse Australian landscape. Trees, rocks and water holes, are somehow embedded in the marks I make.
I always hope to be forging new ground in my work. This year has been a bit of a challenge, so I’m happy to be forging any kind ground at all! New or old! In this series I enjoyed experimenting with varying my mark and different colour palettes. The work that developed got me out of my comfort zone and creating slightly looser more abstract work but still inspired by nature.
