Blue Tide, 2023

I have lived in Pyrmont for over 20 years and have a studio at One Plus 2 Rozelle. I was a part time student at Julian Ashton for many years and have taken various short courses with NAS and private tutors. I paint in oils. Drawing is a large part of my approach to my art. I am drawn to figurative painting both the human form and city scapes. I am currently focussed on creating paintings inspired by the foreshore and surrounds of the western side of Sydney Harbour especially around Pyrmont and Glebe. I have had a number of group exhibitions. I won the inaugural Pyrmont Art Prize and have been a finalist in various competitions including Mosman Art Prize. I have always painted and since retiring I now focus fully on my art.
