I have lived in Pyrmont for over 20 years and have a studio at One Plus 2 Artists Studios Rozelle.
I was a part time student at Julian Ashton for many years and have taken various short courses with NAS and private tutors.
I paint in oils. Drawing is a large part of my approach to my art. I am drawn to figurative painting both the human form and city scapes. I am currently focussed on creating paintings inspired by the foreshore and surrounds of the western side of Sydney Harbour especially around Pyrmont and Glebe.
I have had a number of exhibitions. I won the inaugural Pyrmont Art Prize and have been a finalist in various competitions including Mosman Art Prize.
I have always painted and since retiring I now focus fully on my art.
Established in 2021, the National Emerging Art Prize was created to provide an annual, highly visible national platform to identify, promote and support the most promising emerging visual and ceramic artists in Australia.
