The Robertsons
The Robertsons is about the assurance of family.
My sister and her family were there for me when I needed them most and I have painted them as I see them; a strong solid, connected unit, together in their happy place by the sea.
I sometimes distort scale in my work, not to describe a scene literally, but to create a psychological space – allowing the weight of people, places and relationships to determine their presence in the painting.
At the heart of the work is something very simple; a baseline of belief in family. Knowing who will be there when everything else becomes uncertain.

Australian artist exploring colour, form, and the experience of coastal life. Maintains an independent studio practice supported by ongoing mentorship and an active artist community.
