I am fascinated by the process of transformation where the world evolves in a gradual and almost deliberate way.
Somehow random changes and disorder are fundamental to building order and complexity. Slow, almost unnoticeable changes are the precursors to rapid transformations that shake our perceptions.
This work is made with discarded plaster moulds that are cut, altered and reassembled. I break these forms, add chaos and reassemble. These processes of destruction and building up merge to create new forms. The transformations are in form and in the surface. It creates fragility and complexity, reminiscent of geographies, and evoking contemplation. The inherent contradictions of the vessels demands questioning and defies simple categorisation.
