Muthi” – Possum

Possum skin cloaks are sewn together over the life span of an Aboriginal person portraying stories of personal experiences, connection to country and spiritual identity. Im a proud Aboriginal man and also a gay man, may this work be a small part of who I am but adding to larger part of what I will be at the end of my life. My sexuality is such a small part of who I am as a man but it has taught me most about myself. When the last pelt is sewn to my cloak I hope this be the one I’m most proud of.
