WHISPERS OF THE DEEP, 2024

OIL ON CANVAS
120 × 120 cm
$4,800
I’m always inspired by the Australian landscape, and with this piece, I wanted to tap into the energy of the rock formations and their connection to the water. As I painted, the work naturally evolved, capturing the scene’s spiritual essence. It highlights the beauty in what might seem ordinary while hinting at a deep, long-standing harmony. Amid the gum trees, the crimson rock formations feel like they hold ancient stories, their whispers echoing across the calm water. Water carries memories of its surroundings, and the rocks, transforming into abstract shapes, blend effortlessly into the landscape. These ancient forms at the water’s edge resonate with me, reminding me of the deep, powerful energy within us all.
