The Ranges, 2024

I recently spent time in the West Macdonnell Ranges, the landscape out there has importance & fills your mind, I felt very connected and a deep sense of peace with the country. ‘The Ranges’ is an observation of my time sketching in this beautiful landscape & will take you on a journey. My work displays a unique and spontaneous quality, when you handle my work you can feel the energy and plasticity of the clay. I embrace the imperfections and my mark making is intuitive & gestural.

Catherine is a ceramic artist based on the Northern Beaches and has been working with clay for over 10 years and has a Diploma of Ceramics.
Her work displays a spontaneous & energetic quality, her vessels are either thrown or hand built she loves to show a throwing line or fingerprint, when you handle one of my pieces you can feel the energy & get an appreciation of the plasticity of the clay.
