The sun’s rays, casting intricate shadows, infuse the scene with warmth and optimism. The native flora was collected by the artist from Wickham and Mayfield, areas with personal connection. Newcastle, with its extraordinarily supportive community, played a pivotal role in the artist’s life during the creation of this artwork. Novocastrians stepped up and offered vital stability and encouragement during a turbulent period. The bright and colorful composition reflects the artist’s journey from despair to renewal, mirroring the nurturing community that enabled her to regain her footing.
