Holly Eva

Lucy and Barry, 2021

MIXED MEDIA
104 × 78 cm
$1,600
I am a mixed media artist and I also like to use collage.. This piece has been framed in oak and is signed on the back ready to hang. Painting flowers in vases can represent so many different things. It has been said that the vase can represent a maternal symbol carrying and holding things. I like this interpretation a lot. I like to see this painting as an elegant body encompassing beauty. Budgerigars bring issues around the concept of two things, fun and freedom. No one likes to be restricted; we all like to belong and feel connected. Lucy and Barry are living in a world of beauty. Connection is important and they love having a sense of freedom. With freedom comes fun.
