‘Lightfall’ depicts a hidden garden along Cremorne reserve. The painting explores the sensation of being immersed in a landscape where light, shadow, and foliage dissolve into one another through abstraction and colour. It is a meditation on how light transforms place, and how memory and perception render the natural world as both familiar and dreamlike.

Ana Anderson is a contemporary painter, her work focuses on the landscape and our connection to nature, exploring the line between reality and abstraction.
Ana paints the beauty and solace of the local bush where she composes her work intuitively, using geometric design, organic forms in a push and pull process; creating balance and a rhythmic flow.

Ana has been a finalist in several Australian art awards including the Mosman Art Prize, Dobell Prize for Drawing, the Adelaide Perry Drawing Prize, the Churchie, Metro 5 Art Award and a semi-finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize. Ana was awarded the Storrier Onslow NAS Paris Residency as well as the Hill End Artist Residency. She was the recipient of the Mini Series Art Prize, culminating in a solo exhibition at the Corner Store Gallery.
