Connected, 2024

The concept behind my ‘Connected’ design is to have round cylindrical volumes intersect with each other in a symmetrical, seamless manner. Although I have predominantly made bronze and wooden sculptures in the past, I am now interested in producing functional and unique sculptural vessels out of natural clay. My intention is to make clay vessels as large as possible, pushing the material’s boundaries in volume and scale for maximum impact and presence.

After working in the art department in the film and television industry for 30 years, Aaron’s passion for sculpture was reignited after his wife Jackline enrolled in a pottery course, and he started to steal her clay at the dinner table.
Aaron is now exploring angular and organic utilitarian forms through the medium of clay and timber.
