’Clean dishwasher in the morning’ seeks to capture the beauty that can be found in the mundane ritual of unloading a clean dishwasher first thing in the morning.
This still life scene features the top shelf of the dishwasher. Loaded to capacity with a random array of coloured glassware that the artist enjoys collecting (mainly from facebook marketplace).
Initially collected for use as subjects for still life paintings, this glassware has made it’s way into day-to day use. Now making meals and even glasses of water that much more captivating and enjoyable. This ultimately led to the array of coloured glassware in the dishwasher. Transforming the morning dishwasher into a scene to be appreciated.
