Green sea in my head, walls rocking. I walk the pier of the hall, moon nailed above me, owl watching. The bed waits, gold edge gleaming. But the rope of a dream, still, I could not climb.

Suxing Zhang explores the intersection of history, memory, and cultural identity through painting. By reinterpreting historical photographs, Zhang interweaves personal and collective narratives, creating layered works that challenge static notions of time and place.
