Annabel Warne’s work draws upon her deep love of animals and our connection to them as humans. 
This interplay of species is often a tender moment or fleeting encounter with an underlying sense of calm. Her use of dreamlike colour and gestural brush strokes echo the temporality of these moments, helping to draw the viewer’s gaze and envelope them into the atmosphere.

Annabel Warne is an artist and graphic designer based in Melbourne. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Design in 2017, she moved to Berlin, where she took part in a 3-month artist residency at the Berlin Art Institute. She lived and worked as a designer and illustrator in Berlin before returning to Melbourne in 2019. Annabel currently resides in Brunswick and works out of her studio space in Cremorne.
