MID-FIRE CERAMIC WITH GOLD AND MOTHER OF PEARL LUSTRE
39 × 38 × 30 cm
$2,000
My ceramic vessel encapsulates the essence of Baroque extravagance and romanticism, blending delicate flowers with ribbons adorned in gold lustre and embellished with pearls. The intricate craftsmanship and meticulous detailing evoke a sense of opulence and grace, reminiscent of an era defined by its lavish aesthetics and intricate ornamentation. Each element, from the tenderly sculpted blooms to the shimmering ribbons that cascade in graceful arcs, invites the viewer into a world of refined beauty and intricate charm. This piece celebrates the timeless allure of Baroque artistry, where every curve and flourish tells a story of elegance and romance, capturing the essence of a bygone era with contemporary finesse.

Through nearly a decade of working with ceramics, my artistic journey has evolved from crafting functional pieces sold across three states to exploring the sculptural potential of clay.
My recent focus on sculptural work allows me to push the boundaries of traditional ceramics. Each piece is an exploration of texture, form, and composition, inviting viewers to engage with the tactile and visual richness of clay.
Having exhibited in numerous shows and galleries, including being selected as a finalist in prestigious competitions such as the Muswellbrook Art Prize in 2024 and The National Emerging Art Prize in 2023, I am continuously inspired by the intersection of art and craft.
As I continue to refine my practice, I strive to create work that not only captivates the eye but also sparks a deeper connection, inviting viewers to contemplate the beauty and complexity found within the art of ceramics.
