A coastal walk foraging for banksias and discovering a white feather have been the inspiration for “Coastal Banksias in Reflection”. The Still Life genre is a captured moment in time and in this painting I wish to evoke a captured moment of calm and quiet, quiet like the night, calm as the stillness of the feather. A cause for the viewer to “reflect” the beauty of every day objects and the memories they hold.
